In modern homes,
the most dangerous temptation in the cold weather is to
turn to hot water to cope. The problem with turning to hot
water is that you are burning your skin and scalp. These
are not burns in the sense of medically classified burns.
But the burning sensation is felt when the warm weather
returns in the spring and the blood circulation towards
the skin’s surface improves. Hot water also accelerates
the aging process.
A simple way
to avoid this problem is not to take any shower or bath
that is warmer than your internal body temperature. Water,
as cool as local-swimming waters in the summer will help
to keep the skin’s resiliency. Hot water should only be
used when you really need it and should be used with the
intent to return to the cool living waters of the Mother
Nature.
